A trick to quit smoking

World No Tobacco Day is held every year on 31 May.

每年5月31日为"世界无烟日"

Because smoking has great impact on the physical and mental health and environment of individuals, it should be paid attention to, there are many treatments for quitting smoking, here are some of the main ways to quit smoking.

由于吸烟对个体的身心健康及环境影响极大,应引起人们重视,戒烟的疗法很多,下面介绍几种主要的戒烟的方法。

1、Cognitive therapy

Help patients fully understand the harm of smoking to themselves and others, establish the determination and confidence to quit smoking, do not think that their smoking history is long and can not quit, must think: I will quit.

帮助患者充分认识吸烟对自己及他人危害,树立戒烟的决心和信心,不要认为自己抽烟历史较长而戒不掉,一定要想到:我一定会戒掉。

2、Disgust therapy

Some negative stimulation methods are used to make smokers feel disgusted with their smoking behavior. For example, the use of rapid smoking method, first let the patient at the rate of one mouth per second to inhale smoke into the lungs, patients will produce strong physiological reactions, such as dizziness, nausea, heart skip speed and so on. Ask the patient to experience the bad feeling, and then let him breathe a little fresh air, the two in sharp contrast. The patient is then allowed to smoke quickly until he no longer wants to smoke and is uncomfortable seeing a cigarette. However, this method can not be used for heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, bronchitis, emphysema and so on.

对嗜烟者的抽烟行为选用一些负性刺激法使之对其产生厌恶感。例如采用快速抽烟法,首先让患者以每秒一口的速度将烟吸入肺部,患者会产生强烈的生理反应,如头晕、恶心、心跳过速等。再要求患者好好体验这种不良感觉,然后让他呼吸一会儿新鲜空气,两者形成鲜明对比。随后又让患者快速抽烟,直到不想再抽、看到香烟就不舒服为止。但此法不能用于患心脏病、高血压、糖尿病、支气管炎、肺气肿等人。

3、Control the environment

Many people who smoke are often associated with certain life, environment and emotional state, so try to avoid these factors. For example, people who like to smoke when writing or thinking about problems can consciously smoke less around them, or put some melons, candy and other things instead. Former U.S. President Ronald Reagan successfully quit smoking with chewing gum. For foreign smoking stimulation, should be avoided as far as possible. When others smoke, say no to the first-time visitor, say to an acquaintance friend that the throat is uncomfortable or speak up. As long as the attitude is sincere and resolute, others generally do not forcibly smoke.

许多人吸烟往往同一定的生活、环境、情绪状态联系在一起,因此应设法避免这些因素的影响。例如,在写作或思考问题时喜欢抽烟的人,那么可有意识的在身边少放烟,或放点瓜子、糖果之类的东西来替代。曾经美国总统里根就是用口香糖成功戒烟的。对于外来的抽烟刺激,应尽量避免。当别人敬烟时,对初次见面者可说不会抽,对熟人朋友说喉咙不舒服或直言已戒。只要态度诚恳坚决,别人一般不会强行敬烟。

4、Family therapy

Wives and children can be supervisors for quitters and help smokers quit completely. If the wife can save her husband's money from smoking every day, buy a meaningful item to give him as a reward. A certain penalty shall be imposed for breach of contract.

妻子和孩子可做戒烟者的监督人,帮助吸烟者彻底戒掉。如妻子可把丈夫原来每天吸烟的钱积攒下来,买件有意义的物品送给他作为奖励。如违约给予一定惩罚。
